A very important point to consider is that CompTIA® did not make the 220-301 test score 505 out of 900 because of the amount of knowledge that is required. This test has become more demanding due to the method in which they write the questions, simply put very confusing. 505 out of 900 is a 'D' which is not passing by college standards. This is the only company we know of with such low passing score requirements.
We definitely recommend that you do go through a lot of test questions for practice. The brain dumps with one word answers are definitely not much use, since it does nothing but induce rote memorization, and this will not be much help for this test.
