Peer to peer networking has 'Share level security'.
The key to a peer to peer network is that all resources are at share-level. Passwords are set to folders and not the files, and the owner of the resource sets these permissions. When working with Windows 9.x this is pretty common.
If the password gets out, everyone may have access. Usernames and passwords are not required for logon at the local machine.
This would be associated with hard drives partitioned with FAT 16 or FAT 32.
Peer to peer on a bus could be Thicknet or Thinnet, but note that it is a physical and a logical bus.
The next page will be the Client/Server network.
