CompTIA® security+ test guide, Book Review

It doesn't happen often, but on occasion I have the opportunity to review an IT book. On this occasion I was offered the opportunity to read and review the Security+ Study Guide by Mr. Darril Gibson. With an upcoming Security + class at hand I thought it would be a good idea, sicne I was not overly impressed with the previous book that was used in the class, it was simply a copy and paste from the previous edition.

Once the book arrived I immediately opened it and was shocked at the clarity of the text. I had never seen a book that was so easy on the eyes to read. The font size was perfect with line spacing that made it a joy to read. With this at hand I immediately set out to read the book.

The beginning of each chapter has the CompTIA SY0-201 test objectives, nice. This is followed by a clear and enjoyable read, that will not bury the student with irrelevant information.

At the end of each chapter there I found adequate review questions with in depth explanations which brought closure to each CompTIA Security+ domain.

With its ease of reading, simple to understand, and thorough explanation of the material approach, this book is simply a must for anyone seeking the latest rendition of the CompTIA Security+ (SYO-201) certifiction.
